First page

This is the first page of my father's scrapbook. It is his army "mug shot."
This is a 9x9 album.
I used plain white as the background. I placed a 1x9" strip of Light Green Scuff 1" from the right and bottom edges overlapping the strips.
The picture is 3x5. The frame is cut from Beige Scuff. The outside of the frame is 4x6". I cut out the center of the frame at 3 1/2 x 5 1/2"
I did not glue the frame to the picture, I glued three sides of the frame down, slipped the picture inside, then glued the fourth side down.
I can't remember the sticker set I used to embellish, but it is a very heavy metal-like set of two stickers: the Army emblem and a sticker that says Army.

Change of plans

There's a small change in plans. I bought a new digital camera on ebay last night. As soon as I get it I will post some pictures of the album. The camera I have doesn't take the best pictures and half the time they aren't centered. So, in order to do justice to this album, I will take pictures when I get my new camera. It should be about a week, possibly two.

Dad's album

Sorry I haven't posted anything for a couple weeks. I had to wait for some of dad's pictures to develop and for some stickers I bought on ebay to come in. Now I have everything and I will continue making his album this week. I will post pictures tomorrow of the pages I have done, along with measurements and the design name of the pages I used. (Hopefully)

Upcoming Designs

I will be starting my father's scrapbook soon. He was in Vietnam and has a lot of photos from that time. He also has a lot of old family photos. I will be putting them into a scrapbook for him for Christmas and I will take you through each page. I will explain each step and measurement I took in creating the pages so you can recreate them at home. I will be starting within the next two weeks. Please be aware that I will only do about one or two pages every couple of weeks.
Ciao!
